2013 Conference. Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

CARE participated in the third International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from Nov 12th to 15th, 2013. The November 2013 conference is co-hosted by The Bill & Melinda Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and the Federal Ministry of Health of Ethiopia with a multitude of international and national partners. The conference was an great opportunity to examine cutting edge research and program strategies that are helping to advance the health and well being of families worldwide.
For CARE, the conference is an important forum for sharing our particular niche in sexual and reproductive health and rights programming. CARE had over 19 staff participating from Chad, Djibouti, DRC, Ethiopia, India, Mali, and USA. They represented the CARE SRMH team, and gave 7 presentations and 5 poster presentations during the conference. For more information on CARE's presence at the conference, please click here.
